How does the club ensure that all players get a chance to develop, regardless of skill level?
Our club is committed to fostering the growth and development of all players, irrespective of their skill levels. We align with the NRL's Player Development Framework, which emphasises attracting and retaining participation, fostering personal development, and nurturing performance.
To ensure every player has the opportunity to develop:
Inclusive Participation: We encourage all children to engage in Rugby League, offering various formats such as tag versions to accommodate different comfort levels and skills.
Personal Development: Our programs aim to positively contribute to the personal growth of every participant, emphasising not just athletic skills but also life skills like teamwork and resilience.
Skill Development Programs: We implement structured programs like TackleReady, a initiative designed to instill confidence and competence in tackling techniques, ensuring players learn correct and safe methods.
Progressive Training Sessions: Our training sessions are structured to start with modified games, followed by focused skill activities, and concluding with another game, ensuring players apply learned skills in game scenarios.
Pathways for Aspiration: For those aiming to advance, programs like RISE provide specialised training and education, offering aspirational players avenues to pursue higher levels of competition. By implementing these strategies, we strive to create an environment where every player, regardless of their starting point, can develop their abilities and enjoy the game.
